Dr Fleur-Michelle Coiffait
Founder and Consultant Clinical Psychologist

I am an independent consultant clinical psychologist with 18 years of clinical and research experience working with people of all ages to better understand their strengths and challenges and work towards fulfilling their potential. This includes 11 years working in the NHS before working in the charitable and private sectors.

I am neurodivergent myself (ADHD) and parent to a neurodivergent child. I work in a values driven and neuroaffirmative way and celebrate all forms of diversity.

I am an Associate Fellow of the British Psychological Society and hold Chartered Psychologist status. I am also a Registered Practitioner Psychologist with the Health and Care Professions Council.

I completed my doctoral clinical psychology training over a period of 5 years at the University of Edinburgh, specialising in working with children and young people with developmental differences. My doctoral research explored cognitive factors predicting wellbeing of parents of children with profound and multiple disabilities.

I have completed post-qualification training in specialist social communication assessment tools, including the Autism Diagnostic Interview - Revised (ADI-R), Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule (ADOS-2), and Autism Clinical Interview for Adults (ACIA). I have worked over a number of years in roles including Clinical Lead where I have designed and led services offering neurodevelopmental assessments for children, young people and adults across the UK and further afield. This has included assessments of autism, ADHD and intellectual/learning disability.

I lecture on clinical psychology doctoral training courses, have had a number of book chapters and journal articles published and have made TV appearances providing a psychological perspective on current issues such as the impact of COVID19 on families.
